Redesigning Twopresents Webpage

Revamping the website to communicate the brand values to users authentically

Twopresents, a Hong Kong based social enterprise. The company has been striving for convey the message of being greener and more responsible lives.

The goal of this project is use the infographics and branding to impact users by redesigning the website.

Background

Twopresents is a social enterprise who is passionate in educating the society to make a difference on sharing, funding and gifting. 

 

In this case study, we wanted to redesign the webpage so as to impact and attract more users. By developing a more modern and clean design, is it possible that the values of the enterprise would be communicated to the public better? Would we be able to build a better branding identify by revamping the webpage?

The process

Our design thinking framework helps us with innovation process. We aim to incorporate the key phrases of empathy, define, ideation, prototype, and test.

Understanding the problem

We generate some questions for users who are new to Twopresents.

  • Tell me your experience on hosting an event?

  • What are your considerations when it comes to choosing a particular charity/ third party for fundings?

  • What do you like or dislike about the Webapge?

My research encompassed: ​

Revealing the rationale of choosing a particular charity
Exploring what are the top priorities for the users when hosting an event
Understanding the  why users are not attracted to the existing website

Findings

The findings are quite shocking a sense that most of the users have strong opinions on the main page. They have difficulty in understanding the concept of this enterprise. Check out the red circles for more details.

Gathering Insights

After conducting users interviews, we gathered the pain points identified from the exisiting app. We grouped the problems under common themes by the affinity maps.

Navigation Problem

Users are confused with the sections and do not know what to click.

Does not show sufficient credibility

The look and feel of the webpage give inadequate sense of trustworthiness to users.

Unattractive UI design

The design of the website is not appealing for new users.

Through our projects, it’s been confirmed that brand awareness is much conveyed with the designs. As you can see through our research, we do not only redesign but also rebrand the company to ensure their webapge shows enough credibility. But it leaves us with another question, is the rest part of the website user friendly enough for users? That would take a bit more research.
